German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) – With its International Climate Initiative, BMWK promotes climate protection projects in developing, newly industrializing and transition countries. The support measures comprise the creation of climate-friendly economies in the partner countries, developing measures for adaption to climate change and the conservation and sustainable use of natural carbon sinks such as forests and wetlands.
UK’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) – DESNZ works alongside other UK government departments on the International Climate Fund - the UK government’s commitment to developing countries to help them address the challenges presented by climate change and benefit from the opportunities. The International Climate Fund invests in a broad range of activities to support sustainable economic growth, build resilience to the impacts of climate change and help sustainably manage natural resources such as forests.
